This page is the gateway to a virtual tour of Rock Prairie. During their first visit, many people have remarked on what a beautiful church we have. At Rock Prairie, we believe that "The Church" is not the building... "The Church" is the people. Spend a few minutes looking at our history to see what our members have accomplished since 1847. From the first one room building in 1859 to the present roomy, complex structure, our "Church" has proven over and over again that Rock Prairie is a wonderful place to celebrate your spiritual life.

Our present Sanctuary was built in 1993 and the fellowship hall/ classrooms/ kitchen addition was completed in 1997. The entire complex is built on one level to be accessible to all who come here. Every Sunday sees a fair number of walkers and wheelchairs coming through the door. The congregation met the challenge of construction costs head on and today we are debt-free. Thanks be to the Lord!

Yes, we are proud of our building; but we are even more proud of the saints who put it there with their hard work and dedication to the Lord. Please take our virtual tour and see what we have done out here on the prairie. We think you'll like what you see. Then come out and visit us in person some Sunday. We are just 4 miles east of Janesville on county highway "A" as you can see on our map.

We have a staffed nursery for visitors with younger children and Sunday School for grade school ages and older. Confirmation classes are ongoing for young adults who have reached middle school age. There is an adult bible study group every Sunday from 9:00am to 10:15am. During the week we have various activities both at the church and off-site, which can be found on our monthly calendar and our coming events page.
