Your Lay Involvement Ministry's Mission is to support all the operating Session committees. We seek people from our congregation to fill positions on the Session committees so they can operate within and throughout our church both local and beyond. The committees of the church are dynamic in their work and missions as well as in membership.

Now that the by-laws have been revised, it is necessary to adjust several duties of the Lay Involvement mission. The staffing of the Building and Grounds committee is now shifted from the Nominating Committee/Congregation (as Trustees) to a Lay Involvement function. In addition, the staffing of the Pastoral Care has shifted to the Nominating Committee/Congregation function with the formation of the Board of Deacons. These adjustments will be finalized after the "new" Session is realigned and the various committee chairs are noted.

The community missions that we support include the Milton Food Pantry, Echo, Salvation Army, CROP and Habitat for Humanity. The efforts of Judy Jaggard as coordinator for Meals-on-Wheels allow us as a congregation to represent Rock Prairie United Presbyterian Church in many areas of God's needs in the Rock County area. We also support many local and extended missions with all your efforts and dollars.

God's work through us is constant and ongoing. All the operating committees need to be supported by your participation. If you have an interest to become more active and to strengthen your faith, there is no better the way then to say YES when you are called upon by a member of the Lay Involvement Committee.
