During Fall, Winter, and Spring, Sunday school starts at 9:00am and our worship service starts at 10:30. In the Summer, Worship is at 9:30 and there is no Sunday school. We offer a nursery for children 5 years old and younger, starting 15 minutes before worship. There is also a cry room available at the back of the sanctuary. It has full sound and a view of the sanctuary plus a pew and rocking chair for mom and/or dad.
Back to Questions
Please do. Many visitors have commented on the warmth and friendliness of Rock Prairie. There is usually coffee set up every Sunday before and after the service to encourage people to stop and chat. Every 3rd Sunday of the month is Fellowship Sunday or, as the children say, "Cookie Sunday". After the worship service, we have refreshments and visit with each other. This would be an opportunity to get to know us.
Back to Questions
The Youth Committee continues to meet monthly at members' homes to schedule
activities and events for the youth at Rock Prairie Church. We plan at least one monthly regular youth meeting allowing time for scripture and devotions, discussion and fellowship. We also plan community projects for the youth to reach out to our congregation members as well as members of the area communities. Some of those activities included food drives, leaf
raking, the Grand Dinner, cleaning of members homes/garages/basements, and Christmas caroling.
We would love to see your Junior or Senior high schooler join us! If you need more information you may email Marcus or Shelly.
Back to Questions
Anyone who is baptized and believes in Jesus Christ is welcome to take communion at our church. The Lord's Table is celebrated on the first Sunday of the month.
Back to Questions
Rock Prairie is a member of The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), The Milwaukee Presbytery, and The Synod of Lakes and Prairies.
Back to Questions
Music is an integral part of our worship service. Even when Rock Prairie was still a tiny country church, the choir and music were exceptional. If you enjoy inspirational music, you'll like "The Church on the Prairie". If you'd like to sing in the choir, we practice every Thursday evening at 7:00 at the church.
Back to Questions
There is something for almost every interest! An innovative new Sunday School program, a summer youth caravan, numerous adult groups and a weekly men's breakfast, just to name a few. Please go to the activities page to see the wide range of things to do at our church.

Rock Prairie is barrier free. The church is built on one main level from parking lot to Sanctuary, with no stairs or curbs. The doorways and aisles are wide and we have wheelchairs for use by our worshippers. In addition, there are electronic hearing devices available.

Caravan is an annual mission trip taken by youth who have finished 7th grade through 12th grade. This is a spiritual journey which, for the last 35 years, has transported young people and chaperones from our congregation to mission sites throughout the United States and into Mexico and Canada. We travel in mini-vans and cars to provide plenty of time and opportunity to get to know each other. Our mission work consists of everything from taking down and rebuilding old porches and decks, painting and staining, clearing trails, planting and landscaping, to digging out old basements, moving rocks and anything else that might be asked of us.
There are morning and evening devotions where we ask questions, share our faith and nuture our love for Christ. There is always plenty of time for fun. We play cards, toss the frisbee, play basketball and go swimmming. We make new friends and strengthen existing friendships. The results of our physical labor are obvious at the end of the week and so is the spiritual growth these young people have experienced.
Each year we think, "This has been the best Caravan yet!" and each new year proves us wrong. This mission work has been blessed by God and will continue for years to come. If you would like to join us on this spiritual journey, please contact the church by email or call 608-752-1172.
